When will the bug be fixed that the Midi controllers in the instrument preset are not restored when loading a project or when loading an instrument preset?
I reported this to Mixcraft 7, 8, 9 and again 10. I've been waiting for it for many, many years now.

Re: Midi Controller Bug
Adding in:
This is a very frustrating problem.
While saving presets does save the instrument settings of the VST, adding any type of controller does not become part of the preset. It seems that the controllers are functioning completely independently. They are part of a project and therefore reload (at least in MC 10.1) within a project and on the specific instrument and track they are set up in, but are not part of what gets saved with the presets. It's frustrating when you are hoping to use the preset with MIDI controllers on another track or in another project.
A quick test to show the exact problem: Start a new project. Add Messiah 2 as an instrument. Add a MIDI controller to Messiah 2. Set it up with any CCs to control any parameter. Save the preset with a name you can easily recall. Keep the project open
Add a new instrument track. Choose Messiah 2 as an instrument. Load the preset you just saved. When you load it, no MIDI controllers will be there.

That's true again and absolutely frustrating.cactus-head wrote: ↑Sat Mar 30, 2024 2:43 pm It's frustrating when you are hoping to use the preset with MIDI controllers on another track or in another project.
All because of this simple bug for years. I suspect that the guys want to implement track templates for the future, then everything would be obsolete with instrument presets. But that's just a guess.
The fact that we don't get any information as to why this bug has been constantly ignored for years is also frustrating.
Finally please fix it or tell us why we still have to wait.

Re: Midi Controller Bug
Hi,
We have an open bug report on this issue. I don't know when the software developers might address it.

Re: Midi Controller Bug
You could ask them and lead us out of the darkness and frustration about it
Maybe it was overlooked? Maybe the devs have something else in mind with it? Who knows it since years except the guys in the dark room in the basement
