dual microphone recording stereo to mono

Hi,

I'm using two microphones to record acoustic guitar, so I have Mixcraft input set to Stereo (1+2) as I am using my Focusrite left and right inputs simultaneously. The result is two separate left and right channels, but I want them to be combined. So my question is, how do convert this to a mono recording ? I don't see any option to do this.

Thanks

Hi,

You could record it as stereo, then flip it to Mono in the mixer (assuming you're using Mixcraft 10).

P.S. This was a popular feature request that we added to Mixcraft 10.

I use two mics and i have a Focusrite2i2.
I record each mic to it's own track and I use an audio input left for one mic and audio input right on other track.
It's recorded mono.
And I have complete control of each mic's input. example gain staging.
When played together they are combined.

Yes, recording left and right on to own tracks.

If wanna use existing stereo left right recording you can go to clip properties and choose left channel then mix to new track and same to right channel and you will have to separate mono tracks.
