Normalization doesn't work

Hi everybody!
I'm using Mixcraft 10.5 Build 596. When I check the normalization box nothing happens. Neither change of the waveform nor in volume. Changing phase etc. works fine. Any ideas?

It seems to be working for me. How are you determining that it's not working? Have you tried it on a variety of audio clips?

I use the normalization feature on a daily basis and it works perfectly for me every time. To test it maybe try recording something at an input level that's way too low then normalize it - you should see the waveform increase dramatically. I may be wrong but I've only ever used normalizing as a way to INCREASE recorded material to an optimum level. Is that what you're trying to do or are you trying to bring down audio that's recorded too loud? I'm guessing that if it's already too loud there'll be unleasant artefacts and you'll maybe not see the waveform change when you normalize.

Also, the clip will have 'Normalized' next to the clip name.

I've had times when I normalized and there was no apparent change. I just assumed the audio was already at that level.
