Melodyne - Audio is a Straight Line ?

Just cracked open Melodyne and was expecting to see a melody. Why is it static like this? Thanks

Looks like the algorithm setting was not on melodic but universal. I think it might be solved.

Hi,

Yes, this is a common issue. Sometimes Melodyne doesn't detect a melody in a sound for whatever reason, and the easy solution is to click on Melodyne's algorithm menu and select "Melodic."

As a side note, this also applies with Mixcraft Pro Studio's "Convert Audio to MIDI" right-click option. If that feature is producing the same note over and over, view the audio in Melodyne and switch to Melodic.
