I recently decided to remake a song from it's original .mx9 file that I had made, so that I didn't have to start completely from scratch and to keep the effects I liked, but doing this caused the "CPU Mixcraft" and "System" usage percentages to go up tremendously. I deleted all the tracks that were unneeded to make the file size smaller, but the CPU usage for this specific .mxp file still goes up every time I play the song or attempt to record, causing the recording to pop and lag.
This is the only project that uses this much "CPU Mixcraft" and "System" usage, and it's the only project I remade using another .mx9 file instead of starting off new. Is there a way to correct this?

My thought is there may be a lot of 32 bit plugins and if you are running a 64 bit system, a bridge program has to be run to convert each 32 bit to 64 bit.
If not that specifically, there is likely a plugin that is hog. Are there any guitar amp sims in your project? Some are notorious for devouring resources.
Are you using MC 10.5 or are you using MC 9? Can you do a side by side comparison of the two with the same project?
