Scaler 2 woes...

Post by Les »

I'm using Mixcraft 10 pro. Just installed the latest version of Scaler 2. Now it comes up under the VST instruments and makes lots of lovely sounds which I can copy & paste into Mixcraft - but what I really want to do is to record chords in real time on the Scaler 2 track, by pressing the pads. I can hear everything, the level indicators flash, but sod all is recorded. Suggestions gratefully received!

HI,

Mixcraft 10 Pro Studio can do this. Enable Scaler 2 to be a recording source, then arm a MIDI track and set Scaler 2 as the MIDI Device input.

You wonderful chap! Firstly, many thanks for your immediate response. I thought I had tried everything and the scaler manual was as much use as a tube of crisps... It would have taken me a while to figure that one!

Yes - it works!

many thanks,
Les.

Tube of crisps? What pringles? Not a great fan either.

Anyway don't forget that you can also select Midi capture, press your pads and then you can drag the midi capture to a mixcraft track.

I was thinking of a toothpaste tube! (It's an old Australian comment).
