Adding second instrument clip?

I recorded a midi keyboard track using 'instrument clip'. This seems to default to the last track on the screen. I moved it after finishing recording. I then wanted to record a second 'instrument clip', but it seems to default to the same track as the first one. How do I separate them into different tracks? When recording the second track on top of the first, it actually doesn't record and the first track remains intact.

Hi there, Mixcraft will record on whichever track is armed. Be sure to arm the track you want to record and disarm the track you've finished recording.
