RFE: different time signatures

Post by justdedicate »

How can I submit an enhancement request?

At present only one time signature can be defined per project (3/4, 4/4, 5/4 etc). However it frequently happens that single bars with a different time signature are being used in a song. Mixcraft currently is unable to handle this. For example a song could be in 4/4, but every 16th bar is a 5/4.

Hi there,

Mixcraft will indeed allow you to change time signatures as many times as you want in a song. All you need to do is insert a tempo/key change marker at the measure where you want the song to change. There are several ways to do this -- the easiest is to click on the measure where you want the time signature change to occur, then select Mix->Add Tempo/Key Change... Another way to do it is to right-click on the timeline at (or after) the measure where you want the time sig change to occur, then select Add Marker.

Let us know if you have any problems! And, yes, these forums are a great place to suggest enhancements.
