Pop-up message in Mixcraft, not identified anywhere

Post by Vi Harris »

I'm using Mixcraft ver 2.51 build 55. Recently I've been getting
a pop-up message that says something about "ffdshow compatibilty manager" trying to load or not load. I am given choices to select. Since I don't know what it is, I don't select anything and in a few seconds the window closes. What is this? I've used Mixcraft for several years and this is new.

Hi,

I think that's a DirectX plugin. You must have installed some other program or hardware device that uses it. Use a text editor like notepad to edit the DXignore.ini file in your Mixcraft 4 folder and add "ffdshow" as a new line at the bottom of the file. Save that, then restart Mixcraft.

C:\Program Files\Acoustica Mixcraft4\DXignore.ini
