Finalizing Projects

first I just want to thank you guys for answering my noobie questions! it really helped me alot.
Anyway, im releasing a mixtape on monday and I was wondering what I need to do in order of mastering/mixing for the best quality.
It seems the bass reduced when I play some of my mix's in a car.
what can I do to make my mix's sound more professional?

The guys who made Ozone (a premastering plugin) have some pretty helpful PDF tutorials on their website. It's written with examples in Ozone, but the concepts are applicable to other plugins.
