What is the best way to record? With the reverb already set on my mixing board or bare bones at first and then added through mixcraft later? Also i'm using a perceptions 220 mic, and it has a bass filter, the sound is really full with it off but of course it picks up and pin drop from a mile a way, but when I add bass filter it cuts the sounds but also doesn't sound nearly as full, what can I do?

You should always record with no effects. Add them with Mixcraft. Once you record a few times, you'll be glad you did it.

As far as the microphone, if it is piking up the neighbors cat meowing, then i would use the filter. Enhance your track after recording by using chorus, reverb, equalizer, stereo widening effect, etc.
