Compatability with drum pads

Post by Danedward »

Hi

From what I've read, I am assuming MC5 is not compatable with a drum pad controller like the Akai LPD8, but I just want to double check, because that option would be great.

Secondly, I don't think we can do this either, but can I take different sounds (like different drum sounds from different kits) and make up a custom kit controllable by the keyboard?

Lastly...... while there may be limits at the moment, I still dig mixcraft5 a heck of a lot! Props to the mixcraft crew :)

Mixcraft will load most VSTI's, so if you use something like ezdrummer, you can load your sounds into that. Yes Mixcraft works with midi controllers, not sure about drum pads controlling a 3rd party vsti though, you would need to just try it.

I use my Akai LPD8 all the time with Mixcraft 5. No issues at all if you are talking about VSTi drumming.
