to connect my MIDI controller to my PC ?
I was going to just buy a mic preamp for my mic .
But then I found this:

The M-Audio Fast Pro track which is a MIDI interface AND mic preamp in one .
Should I get it ?
or would it be best to get a preamp and midi cables Seperate ?
Nate
Should I purchase MIDI cables or a MIDI Interface.. ?

It depends on a few things.
1) Do you or will you ever use midi? If not then it's of no concern.
2) Do you currently have a way to connect midi cables to your computer? If not and you plan to do so later on, then the interface with midi support might be a good choice for you.
Personally I don't use midi much, but in case I do, my m-audio sound cards have midi cable input and output connections.
