Anyone using M-Audio Fast Track USB or Line 6 UX2?

Looking for a new audio interface to hopefully have success recording with MC5. Can get the M-Audio Fast Track USB online for $70. Also looking at Line6 POD UX1 or UX2. Both a little pricier. Would appreciate any user advice.
I'm having endless problems trying to get a decent recording with my E-MU 0202. I've concluded it's garbage. I read some very lukewarm reviews on its successor, the EMU 0204, so I'm ready to try a different brand. Every recording introduces gaps, dropouts, and crackling. Even when I turn all other PC stuff off, max out the buffers (max latency). The ASIO driver is worthless. What good is it if you have to max out latency, and even then, you get gaps? Only records at 88.2 khz, so can't use Shred Amp simulator which only supports 48 khz. Pretty frustrating.
