Re: Trying to mix bass and drum
I understand that presets are just a starting point. I would never use one as a final part. I don't remember which one but in the whole mix it made everything sound good until the crash cymbal hits. So tweaking on a song by song basis is going to be the norm. Almost like expecting everyone to wear t...

Re: Trying to mix bass and drum
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Mark! Oh no, I haven't got as far as putting anything on the master bus permanently. But I did try a few of the mastering presets. To get a preview of what it could sound like when happy with it. Mastering can make anybody sound like they know what they are...

Re: Trying to mix bass and drum
As usual, need more info. Need to know more details and even then, maybe need to hear an example. Two possibilities come to mind, but just guessing. Either the kick drum and bass guitar frequencies overlap and mask enough that is sounds like the kick drum is adding to the bass and resulting in a pu...

Trying to mix bass and drum
I think the drums may be too loud. Here's what happening: I recorded drums with EZ Drummer. I used a Pod Farm bass amp setup. Both parts recorded fine. The odd thing happens when a sustaining bass note plays over the drums. It sounds like I'm playing eighth notes on the bass instead of one long one....

I would like to move a preset I created in Mixcraft to another pc
I named an EZDrummer 2 preset on a track. I used the drop down menu next to the gear wheel. Clicked the save new preset floppy disk. Then I saved my Mixcraft project. Then I did a computer search of the named preset and nothing shows in search. I don't know where to look.

Re: Is there a way to level cymbal crashes in drum mix?
Thanks for the replies.
@spiralsofdanu I did take a look at the velocities of all of the cymbals I thought were at 50.
When I saw what the problem was. I had clips on the midi track one for verse one chorus.
The chorus cymbals were on 127.

Is there a way to level cymbal crashes in drum mix?
I used Mixcraft 7 and EZDrummer 2. After I mixed the drums I noticed some crashes were louder than others. I know the best thing to do is remix. But is there a way, eq or lpf that would lower them without hurting mix?

Error message when trying to open EZ Drummer 2 [Solved]
Audio engine inactive. Check your audio device. Is what it reads. Opens and play fine in standalone.
NM I had all of the tracks except the EZ one soloed. It's sounding as it should.

Re: Lee Jackson's GP-1000
Ram is not the issue. My Win 7 32 bit 4GB RAM PC will not run Waves 64 bit software.

Re: Lee Jackson's GP-1000
Wave system requirements and my system bits (32 to be exact!! ) don't match. Pedal vs. new P.C. might be cheaper.

Thanks,
As I went back to their site to create an account, I noticed they have a Demo of it. I'll check it out maybe this weekend.
