Re: Loops / One-shots
The first answer above implies that Mixcraft bases its loop/hit decision on whether it can find tempo information. Does the presence or absence of loop start/loop end metadata also affect this decision?

Re: volume boost?
Hi, No news. There probably won't be a fix for this until Mixcraft 9 comes out, and we're probably a year or more away from that at this point. Greg Actually, this *is* news. Just not the news we wanted to hear. It sounds like the fix will be major surgery rather than patching a few relatively isol...

Re: Recording incoming audio
This is just guess. When you upgraded Mixcraft, did you also install Windows 10? Over time, Microsoft has changed what you have to do to route audio output from a website or media player into a DAW. In Windows 10, this is disabled by default and has to be turned on the the Control Panel. Google &quo...

Re: Phase Issue
Me too. I was referring to the A/D converters inside the amps. From what you have said elsewhere in this thread (to the effect that they use generic Windows audio drivers), I infer that there's no way to lock them to the same digital clock source.

Re: Phase Issue
... As to which software may be having an issue handling the multiple data streams I do not know. I'm leaning toward to the drivers (possibly even the PC hardware i.e. when multiple USB devices are connected to a hub do they not share data and does not one take priority over the other???). ... Re: Spectrum Analysis Problem (Resolved)
To add to the confusion, there's "white noise" as well as "pink noise". In a spectrum analyzer (e.g. Voxengo Span), white noise will look flat with the slope set to 0 dB per octave. Pink noise will look flat with the slope set to 3 dB per octave. For some hints as to why, see htt...

Re: Phase Issue
If I'm reading your post correctly, you are mic-ing the amps separately. How precisely are you positioning each mic? Does moving one mic a tiny fraction of an inch (and leaving the other where it is) change the result in any way?

Re: Hexachords Orb Composer?
Having looked only briefly at the Orb website, I suspect that what you are describing is a limitation of the demo version of Orb Composer. Mixcraft should work fine with the paid version of this product. You can assign each instrument track in Mixcraft to a different MIDI device and channel, which i...

Re: Future possible Melodyne ARA integration in Mixcraft ?
I hear that there is now an ARA 2 specification. Is that the same thing as Melodyne track mode, or something else? Does Acoustica plan to jump on that bandwagon?

Re: WAS: HELP! =( Mixcraft does not receive MIDI output from VST
... It can't directly record the output of VSTi or effects, but this is a feature request that has been logged. Some people use a workaround in the meantime: if you can direct the output of the plugin to another MIDI device, you could install a MIDI loopback utility like LoopBe or LoopMIDI, and the...

Another possibility to evaluate is Auphonic Leveler. You can use it by uploading your files to a website: https://auphonic.com/landing or by purchasing a program that runs on your own computer: https://auphonic.com/leveler The website version is free for up to two hours of audio per month, which giv...

Re: Will Mixcraft 8 work on my older system?
Dale's response indirectly brings to mind another thing you can try: transformer-isolate the audio connection between your Firebox and your monitors. This attacks the problem from the opposite side of the ground loop (audio versus AC). Exactly what you need depends on whether the connection is balan...
