Re: Is it possible to use multiple MIDI keyboards simultaneously with Mixcraft?
Hi, I use a 5 channel MIDI interface. I have 3 MIDI keyboards connected. ( Roland D5 synth 61 keys, Keystation 88, and a 49 key controller. ) This interface gives me 5 MIDI inputs and outputs. It connects to my computer with USB. I use only one of the outputs to connect to other hardware instruments...

Re: Multiple instances of Sonokinetic plug-in
Hi, Did you check which MIDI channel you are using? I use EW symphony and some times I don't havemy MIDI channel set correctly. What I have been doing lately is convert my MIDI for an instrument sound to audio, then work on other instruments. I mute the MIDI track that was converted to audio. This s...

Re: Pizzicato Piano
Hi, I record using the EW grand pianos /Play engine ( as a plug-in, or standalone ) without the issues you have stated. When I record a piano part, I play and record the whole part. How are you recording your piano tracks? I have used the EW pianos in Mixcraft 8 & 9 without any issues. I have us...

Re: Can my monitor for my input device be soft, but it captures it louder?
Hi, I record my hardware synths through my Scarlett 18i20 similar to.how.you say you are. You will want to adjust the level.of your synth to give you a good.recording level on your input or Mixcraft meters. You should have a headphone output you can use to monitor you playing. You can adjust the hea...

Re: Please help
Hi,
I use an i5 CPU in my computer without any issues. Look at the bottom of this reply to see my computer specs.
I use three drives. The OS drive is SSD, then a 1T for my VST library sounds, and a 1T drive I record to.

Re: Record Multiple Tracks
Hi, Yes. If your audio interface has more than two inputs it can record multiple tracks at one time. I have a Focusrite 18i20 which has eight inputs, which I used to record a drum kit without any issues. When you arm your tracks for recording, you can select which inputs you want per track. Example:...

Re: VST3 not responding to controller
Hi again, When I was working on my latest piece, I had exited and started Mixcraft many times without any issues. I would just select any of my EWQL tracks and they would play fine from my keyboard controller. When loading I could see the EWQL instruments being loaded after Mixcraft loaded. I use a ...

Re: VST3 not responding to controller
Hi again, My MIDI was set to Omni in the Play software. I could set it to a different channel, and set my keyboard.controller to the same channel and it works.fine. But as I said before, the track with my virtual instrument that I want to control has to be selected before I can control it. I can hav...

Re: VST3 not responding to controller
Hi, I use the East West Symphony Gold with Mixcraft without any issues. I was working on a piece recently where I had different tracks loaded with different Play instruments. I noticed that I would have to select a track to have it work with my keyboard controller. The other instrument tracks worked...

Re: Best computer for Mixcraft?
Hi, When I wanted to get a new computer for music production I looked at what music stores were selling, and took notice of the specs for the different music computers they sold. I chose the features I wanted and went to a local computer store to have one made. The specs of my computer are listed at...

Re: Does your DAW freeze for a second when saving?
Hi, I never save while my project is playing. To me, it would seem normal to have a playback issue while saving, as data is trying to be stored while other functions are trying to use the computers drives and RAM. Some data might become a priority while saving, which would interior the data with les...

Hi,
Check that you have your MIDI channel set to.match the virtual piano. See what the setting is on the keyboard that gives you sound. I have done this myself, when I rush my setting up.

Re: Using Roland VK-8M to control VB3
Hi, The switches on the hardware module may just be switches that don't send midi Info, but switch the function on the module. I use a Ferrofish B3 module, and a real Leslie. I have a model 251, dual channel Leslie. It has the upper and lower rotors, and 2 6 x 9 stationary speakers.. I have a modifi...
