1st World Problems
I've been doing research on new DAWs I could try to switch to and I have to say that the Acoustica team have made a really competitive product. They've cut down the amount of clicks and clutter on almost every feature I see in other DAWs. I have no clue why recording audio takes so much work in othe...

Re: Best Practices for Video Tracks?
I've gone through that section and followed all the steps and there isn't anything regarding this specific issue. The current mappings don't correlate to the plugin I'm using (Atlas). Maybe could be a feature in the future?

Re: Best Practices for Video Tracks?
Yea that does work but I'd like it to add it by default to avoid having to setup the step editor on each new instance.

Re: Best Practices for Video Tracks?
Hi, Mixcraft uses Microsoft DirectShow to process videos, so make sure that all of your Windows media stuff, and your computer's graphics card drivers are up to date. Also make sure you're using 64-bit Mixcraft. Greg Done and done. Thanks for the help! Also, so I don't create a new thread, I'm havi...

Best Practices for Video Tracks?
Hey-O! I'm trying to teach myself to score to video and I'm just looking to see if there's any way to cut down on some of the video choppiness with video tracks. Is there a way to "Freeze" a video track or play at a lower resolution while I work as I won't be editing the video in any way? ...

Re: Mixcraft 9 Recording Studio
You can do that, but you can also program MIDI, record and edit audio, install 3rd-party VSTs, use MIDI instruments, and even perform with the built-in performance panel using audio and midi loops or oneshots.
There's really a ton you can do.

Re: Mixcraft 9 pro does NOT give the option to save automatically
Autosave seems pretty silly to spend dev resources on when you can just get into the habit of saving after a task or periodically. Not saving a project you worked hours on and completely losing it sucks, but maybe that's the cue to make a sticky note that reminds you to save often.

Melodyne 5 heads-up
It seems that the Melodyne Essential 5 doesn't allow you to actually change the scales when editing audio. I've tried changing the scales around and the editor is slower and doesn't respond. At first I thought my music theory was just off and it was picking a relative or en-harmonic scale, but nope....

Re: scaler
I own Scaler and honestly I haven't found anything easier and more comprehensive to use. V2.0 is supposed to be released this year and will have tons more features. It's a solid investment and has started many a song for me.

Isn't this built on the same engine as the free Nightlife synth Acoustica offers?

Templates with MIDI/Audio?
Is it possible to create a template that saves both my MIDI and audio clips? If not, is that something that would be possible in a future update?

The con they listed for Mixcraft doesn't make sense lol. There's two tiers. Most other DAWS have like 3 and extra stuff to buy

Re: New Video - Setting up for Recording
Hi, Thanks for making this! A couple of things: 1. If you haven't saved yet, your recordings aren't going to the temp folder, they are going to a folder with a name like "Mixcraft 9 Project 42" inside your default project folder location (set in Recording preferences as shown in the video...

Re: Increased lag time?
Hi, I'm not noticing any difference. Hard drive speed would make a big difference here. If you were using a slow drive for your project files folder, it would take longer. Greg I'm resurrecting an old topic, but my hard drive is a 250GB SSD with about 50GB of free space so I don't think that's the ...
