Re: Rendering to different sample rate

Thank you Mr. Bliss. So I will let Resolve do the converting/resampling magic when I'm rendering the video file with my WAV in it.

Rendering to different sample rate

Hello! I have a song mixed in Mixcraft (still using the old 5 version). The project is set to a sample rate of 44,1kHz and my audio interface sound card is set to 44,1kHz as well. rendered the song as a PCM WAV, 16-bit, 44,1kHz sample rate. What will happen if I render (mix down) the song to a WAV w...

Re: 64 vs 32 bit (yeah, again - sorry)

Hi!

Links to the Mixcraft and it's files in my Start menu. Yes, I know I'm nitpicking, but that didn't happen on my old Windows 7 PC with Mixcraft 5.

Thank you.

Re: 64 vs 32 bit (yeah, again - sorry)

I installed Mixcraft 8 for testing but it installs in my language by default. I'd like to install it in English (with English menus). My Windows language is English anyway. If I change language after the install, the links still remain in my language... Any way to install it in English from the get-...

Re: 64 vs 32 bit (yeah, again - sorry)

Thank you. But regarding my first post, the amount of tracks I use and two main VSTs (Amplitue and Addictirve Drums), by your experience, would you think I'd need 32-bit DAW (Mixcraft)? Would I need more than 4 GB RAM?

64 vs 32 bit (yeah, again - sorry)

Hi! So, I have my old Win7 x64 PC (oldest i7, 6 GB RAM, HDD) with Mixcraft 5 32-bit, Addictive Drums 1.5 32-bit and Amplitube 3 32-bit. Those two are the main 2 VSTs that I use. Now I bought a new Win10 x64 PC (i7-7700K, 32 GB RAM, NVMe). I usually lay down about 10 Amplitube guitar tracks and 1 or ...

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

Yeah, I guess there's no other way. I will first try the old 32-bit v5 and if it will perform poorly, the new v8, 64-bit version.

Thank you for all the help so far. I'm still waiting for the PC parts to arrive...

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

Hm, I'll be running Windows 10 64-bit with 32 GB of RAM. There's no way Windows itself will eat less than 4 GB RAM even idling...

Does that mean that Mixcraft 32-bit won't have ANY available RAM to work? So it won't even work? I do have lots of 32-bit plugins...

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

OK, thank you guys, I'll try and see.. Hi, 4 GB total, but that's plenty for most plugins. Massive 64-bit orchestral plugins do benefit from having access to more than 4 GB of RAM. Mixcraft 5 will work on Windows 10, but you'd be missing out on all the new features, optimizations and fixes that have...

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

Hi Mark, wise words, I think, thanx for the reply. Looking at the Mixcraft 8 interface on Youtube, it does seem a little strange, compared to my long-used Mixcraft 5. Can I install Mixcraft 8 trial beside the Mixcraft 5, would that work? That would be the best way to compare the versions. About the ...

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

I'll think it through. First, I have to get my new PC. Thank you.

PS: Is Beatcraft dead? I remember using it years ago... It had such a great snare tone!

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

Alright, that's an excellent feature, to be able to have both, 32 and 64 bit version of Mixcraft 8 installed on the same Windows machine. If I understand correctly, 32 bit Mixcraft can only utilize up to 4 GB of RAM? But doest that mean 4 GB RAM altogether or 4 GB ram per VST? About the old Mixcraft...

Re: Old user - new Mixcraft

Thanx, Greg. OK, now I see the Home Studio limitations, no way that I'm getting that, I hate being limited creating music.

Mixcraft 5 is 32-bit, is Mixcraft 8 64-bit DAW? If not, it Mixcraft 8 is only 32-bit, can I use 64-bit VSTs with it? I guess not?
