Best way to sweeten trumpet sound?

I am mixing a slow tempo R&B with a trumpet in it, and I have a great recording of a trumpet, but I want to sweeten it and add warmth without making it sound over-rpocessed. Any suggestions for effects or EQ?

also good advice above here, of course ^^

regarding the plugin I suggested: with the default setting, the effect is a bit artificial sounding, but sounds really good after tweaking some parameters and setting the ADT level lower (about 0.25).

thank you.....now I'm gonna sound like a real idiot....how do i use a plug in? I downloaded it, now what? Sorry, when I said virgin, I meant virgin!! It's OK - the only stupid question is one you don't answer. None of us are born knowing how to do this stuff. To install a VST effect, simply put it ...

If you want double tracks without having to sing or play it twice you can try this free vst plugin: ADT - Artificial Double Tracking http://www.vacuumsound.de/plugins.html The ADT technique was developed at Abbey Road Studios by engineers recording the Beatles in the 1960s. To free John Lennon from ...

Getting a good guitar signal and monitoring with no latency

What is the best way to get a good guitar signal in to mixcraft? I have a Behringer UCA200 usb input device, and I use that to record the main tracks from my sequencer, but when I go to overdub the tracks I hear a latency. I installed the ASIO drivers, but they don't work well on my dinosaur of a co...

thanks again - I am getting the hang of it. I was reading the manual and discovered teh keyboard shortcuts and they help alot - works much better than trying to nudge it with my mouse. Does the latency of longer pieces get reduced if I zoom out and view the entire song instead of letting mixcraft sc...

Lining up tracks to be in time - any tips?

I am recording the initial tracks sent from a synthesizer (and in a box kind of thing), and am then laying down guitar and vocal tracks. I am using a Behringer UCA202 USB input device. When I record the guitar or vocal tracks and then playback there is a slight drift in the recording, and I can manu...

I am having the same issue. I am using WAVE, since my input device (behringer UCA202) does not support ASIO playback and I want to be able to monitor the playback as I record. I am using the sound card that is in my Dell computer.
