Re: Mixcraft is great here's why

I don't think I used the stutter plug-in in the Plastic People track. It's definitely in the first one I posted Live Fast and within the first 2-3 minutes.

Mixcraft is great here's why

All of the songs I produced myself are made with Mixcraft, but this one below is one of my favorites. Yes it's longish and yes it's got two parts but I find it showcases the Mixcraft capabilities pretty well. In this song's case I used a few external VSTs for example iZotope Stutter Edit came in han...

That sounds both legit, and possibly even worse. I'm thorn.

How do they plan on us backing up 12Tb? Already just backing up 2Tb is a PITA...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

I actually took advantage of the Black Friday/holiday specials and updated my Waves plugins to the latest version for much cheaper than full price.

Sadly still no sytrus. I'll just have to remaster my "old" stuff from my laptop and bounce the stems track by track in case for the future.

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

I've gone back to using the old M-Audio. No crackling since I uninstalled Sytrus. No latency and sounds good. Glad you got your issue sorted, I really like that song, it's got a nice groove and the mix sounds really good. You should definitely keep going with your music, find a producer and/or push ...

Solution found - issue solved - thank you everyone that suggested solutions

I've just purchased the upgrade but it's nothing to do with my popping issue. I found the issue was caused by a broken VST synth - Sytrus - that's not been updated by Image-Line in a couple years. Sadly it was one of my favorite plug-ins and I think there are none of my songs that didn't have it in ...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

While I am skeptical about some of this theory, it would be easy enough to test at no cost. You could load up the trial version of Mixcraft 7, both 32 and 64 bit and evaluate to see if anything is different. I have downloaded the Mix7 trial. Yesterday but didn't have much time last night to play wi...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

Removing all VST effects also removes the popping sounds. I am re-adding them one by one to see which one it is. There aren't that many. [edit] trying to close Mixcraft now went to "not responding" after saving the temp project with no VST effects. I had to end-task it. This seemed to be c...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

The only thing I can add, other than your situation stinks, is that there's some some driver conflict or one of those weird computer things (hardware) that does happen, seems the common denominator is the Maudio. I would still suggest going with a bit better of an I/O, not that much more than the $...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

Well then... that was a waste of time - and probably of 70$ I'll never see again: The Behringer 302USB is provided with no "real" Windows drivers. Instead the company relies on ASIO4ALL to support it with ASIO drivers that don't really work that well. This is the exact opposite of what is ...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

Drives... I don't mention all the drives in my system because there's a limit to the signature characters but at this time I have four drives. Three internal and one USB3 drive. In the last year or so I tried all kinds of combos with drives. -Everything on the main SSD drive, including OS, Mixcraft ...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

I almost always record alone, and have an external mixer + POD2.0 for guitar/bass effects: Would this be suitable? https://www.amazon.ca/Focusrite-Scarlet ... +interface I mean in terms of latency and performance. Oops I just saw it's out of stock. How about this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Behringer...

Re: Snap Crackle Popping on (very) high end PC. Please help.

I've been playing with the buffers even since before changing PCs. It has brought nothing good, more crackling and latency. However I've just tested it with the onboard card using ASIO4ALL drivers and it's "decent" although still not perfect I have the popping down to a minimum that might ...
