One can only hope. It sounds serious. It is serious. I have some experience of this phase-cancelling problem from my recording studio experience. We'd get the stereo mix sounding nice, but as soon as the mono switch was pressed on the mixing desk the sound went really flat, with one or two instrume...

Re: Mixing & Mastering

I have see on Amazon that they have some books and wondered if anyone has read any books or can tell me what to read. The three books I have...

I think it's more along the lines of the user knowing how to use it well. Eric proved the point with his album Meet My Demons, using samples from a Tama kit with Beatcraft. The end result is amazing its the fact that 1.you buy itseperatly. fl hasit built in. 2.ebery time you add a sound you need to...

@Dan and crew

What is an average day for you guys and girls like with Acoustica?
Can you kick back at the end of a long day and enjoy a good book or are you constantly dreaming of computer codes and throwing darts at pictures of ILoks?

The zoom function should follow the last position of the Caret.
From the manual:
"The software will zoom to the last Caret position or the last mouse click, whichever was last."

Hey Ianpb, thanks for the suggestion. Say I'm recording a vocal track for a singer and I would like him to sing the track several times or 'takes'. I can then use the best one or maybe comp parts of different takes to build one perfect vocal track. A lot of other DAWs provide this capability. Certa...

Click on the automation tab. (Located between the FX and Solo button on each track.) This defaults to volume. Click the down arrow and select track pan. You can then click and draw in points where you want the track to pan left or right. (Leave the line centered where you want the track centered. Cl...

Your welcome.
I'm researching something similar in an attempt to make my own percussion libraries with a basic user interface.

Good luck with it.

This is from a random website. You may find it useful. There's several ways to do it. The easiest way to do it is to get a program called Synthedit. It's basically like a simple version of Reaktor, except you can export the instruments you build (by connecting modules together and building a user-in...

Hi, Mixcraft 5 doesn't have surface control support. Look for that in Mixcraft 6. For product update news, click "Like" on Mixcraft's Facebook page or sign up for the Acoustica Newsletter . Greg Hi Greg, Exactly what does 'look for' mean? I see it used all the time on these forums and fra...

As an aside, does this Oud sample sound realistic to y'all? http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18132862/Oud%20Demo.mp3 I don't know what an Oud is or what it should sound like, but this track sounds great as is. But if you are trying to get an authentic instrument sound, looks like Eric is assisting. Always t...
