Start Menu Icon
MC9 has a nice icon that fills the entire tile square for the Start Menu screen whereas MC8 and and all my older apps have tiny icons in the center of the tile. Is this a new Windows Update thing, a newer icon from the app itself, or can the old icons be updated similarly?

Thanks for reporting that.

As mentioned, yes. I ran the update thru the Help Menu. Apparently the "skins.csv" file wasn't updated so I fixed it myself.

OK, so how does one go about implementing the new/old theme? It's not in the usual place under Preferences - Display. EDIT: I found the "skins.csv" file was not updated when I ran the 442 update. If you have the same issue, open "skins.csv" in Note Pad and add the following line:...

Re: Mixer color...
Another idea that I've wanted along those lines is the ability to color, or shade, *vertical* sections much like tracks are colored horizontally. This could be used for example to denote verse, bridge, chorus, etc, sections across all tracks. Basically you would highlight the area, right click, and...

Re: Mixer color...
The option to go either way would be cool. But not one or the other.
BTW, the pic reminds me of Studio One.

Re: The look of 9
Honestly I see no reason why both GUIs can't exist as choosable options in Preferences. Maybe in a future update....

Re: Mixcraft 9: Download Times
I can only surmise it was due to heavy traffic this time of year. I had a similar issue the next day.

Re: The look of 9
The current status for selected tracks is the darker color. Not sure if it's changeable but I'll check it out.
I've always preferred darker GUIs. Too much white, especially at night, is very hard on the old eyes.

Re: The look of 9
It took months of breaking it down and completely rewriting the INI file for me to get familiar with it. @ron-e-g To make the mixer channel strips lighter: 1. Copy this line: mixer-track-background 2. Open mixskin-light.ini with Note Pad 3. Open the Find box (ctrl+F) 4. Paste the copied line in the ...
