Metronome Reverb

Hey everybody,

I'm setting up a click to make backing tracks for my bands and the metronome i've been using is in 128:0 standard kit, and through headphones there's like a room reverb. There are no effects inserted on the track. Anyway to get rid of that?

Not really sure what you mean but this is what I do,

I add a virtural instrument track, hit show details, pull the preset tab over to 128:0 standard, close that out add 1/4 notes on metronome click.

I've made quite a few click tracks but that took me a while to burrow down to that sound. (And thanks, discovered stuff I never found before. )

But yeah there's a bit of a reflection in those. I don't think there's a way to override that on those sounds.

I'd suggest finding a different sound if that doesn't suit you. Personally I prefer samples. Side stick for example. There's one, called Oak #1 or something that might suit.

Thanks for the suggestion Mark, I just decided to download the sample of protools' click and use that.

I was going to suggest using a fast closing gate, with just enough threshold to let the click through but well, I think the one you downloaded will work better.

Hi,

The sounds for the metronome are in your Acoustica Mixcraft folder and you could use them with Omni Sampler. They are:

SquareTick-High.wav
SquareTick-Low.wav

Pop them into Omni Sampler, then make a virtual instrument track with the metronome beat you want.
