Managed plugins list vanished
My managed plugins list (the groups that appear in the 'Collections' box) on MC v8.1 64-Bit has recently vanished, although I'm sure it was there before I installed the latest 418 update. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi,
Those are stored here:
%appdata%\Acoustica\Mixcraft\collections
Did you log into Windows as a different user?

Hi Greg.
They are there in the %appdata% folder, but is there any way to get it all back into the plugin management of Mixcraft?
Incidentally, the location should be: %appdata%\Roaming\Acoustica\Mixcraft\collections. You missed out 'Roaming'.

Hi,
You don't need to include "roaming". Try it.
Do you have a file or files with the name of the collections in there? Like:
New Collection.plugin-group
New Collection 2.plugin-group

Re: Managed plugins list vanished
There's nothing like that in the list. The only file with 'collection' in the title is collections.mstist.
The only way I can get to Acoustica/Mixcraft/collections is via the Roaming folder. Upon opening the Appdata folder, the only items available are three folders: Local, LocalLow, and Roaming.
Could this be a Windows 7/Windows 10 thing? I'm using Windows 7.

Hi,
It should work the same way. If the collection files are missing, then that's the problem. The question is: why aren't they there? Did you log into Windows as a different user? Did they get deleted somehow?

I only have one user account on my computer, and as for being deleted, I'm at a loss as to how that could have happened. I suppose I'll just have to set it all up again.Acoustica Greg wrote:Hi,

Hi,
That's very strange. I guess you could set it up again and then back up those collection.plugin-group files, in case your anti-virus software is quarantining them or something.

Re: Managed plugins list vanished
I'd say this was the most likely scenario. Before you create a new list, check your antivirus software log to see if the file was quarantined or deleted. You should check the Recycle Bin too, in case the list got put there by the antivirus or by accident.Acoustica Greg wrote:Hi,

So Ian, does that mean the folder with the collection files is there in the correct location, but just not being used by Mixcraft any longer? If so, MC should be reading from that file. BTW, mine was also found in the roaming folder. They are there in the %appdata% folder, but is there any way to get it all back into the plugin management of Mixcraft?
Below is a sample of what I have, with most of the names ending in .plugin-group.
collections.mstrlst
crashed-plugins.plglst
disabled-plugins.plglst
recently-used.plglst
1176 Clone.plugin-group
etc.

Nothing mentioned in the antivirus and Malwarebytes logs.
That does appear to be the case.Thomas wrote:So Ian, does that mean the folder with the collection files is there in the correct location, but just not being used by Mixcraft any longer? If so, MC should be reading from that file. BTW, mine was also found in the roaming folder.

Re: Managed plugins list vanished
Hi,
Let's back up for a minute. The files in question might not have the word "collection" in them. If you gave your collection a custom name, it would be called:
CUSTOMNAME.plugin-group
If you have file extensions hidden, you'd just see:
CUSTOMNAME
If I create a collection right now, I can see the corresponding file being created. Try it out.

Hi,
Which folder is it in? Which version and build of Mixcraft do you have?
Please submit an Acoustica Support Request and send us one of the files.
