Mixcraft 9.0, Build 442
I just updated Mixcraft 9.0 to build 442 and the update went well... However, I wish we didn't need to close MX9 to get the update to install.

Hi,
It has to work that way, because if we tried to replace a file while it is being used, you'd get unexpected results - like a crash for instance.

Re: Mixcraft 9.0, Build 442
That needs to be fixed because all Mixcraft 9 users may not be members of this forum and therefore not know they need to close Mixcraft for updates to install, therefore becoming confused and frustrated.

Hi,
The error message does tell you to quit Mixcraft and then click Retry to continue.

Thanks for update and MX8 theme. But I find some small issues with this new (old) theme: microfade buttons are missing and file name and time signature are poorly visible in sound properties window.

Hi,
I only mentioned it because some people seem to be baffled by the quit and retry message. They're thinking of the patch and Mixcraft as the same thing, so it doesn't make sense to them that they should quit anything just when they were trying to update.

Re: Mixcraft 9.0, Build 442
Yep. I was the first time. Almost 8 years ago.....
Re: Mixcraft 9.0, Build 442
Well Mark, I must of forgot... But I'm old, so I'm not surprised, lol.
@ Greg: Maybe the information should be included in the Manual?
Right now the Manual just says: "CHECKING FOR UPDATES
Acoustica periodically provides updates to software. You can easily obtain these
updates through Acoustica’s website. To check for updates, go to the Help menu at the
top of the screen and choose Check For Update..."

Re: Mixcraft 9.0, Build 442
Is there a reason that I'm not being offered the update? Running latest W10 and have checked the faq and all's well there.

This may seem like a silly question but did you click on the 'check for updates' button on the menu ?Rolling Estonian wrote: ↑Thu Dec 19, 2019 8:21 pm Is there a reason that I'm not being offered the update? Running latest W10 and have checked the faq and all's well there.

Hi,
Are you using build 436? If not, that's likely the reason.
