Missing sounds
I just pulled up a project. It seems to be missing some sound clips. I think they are from MC sound library. I will post image..when I search my Files they are not found. Can't remember where I originally loaded them from, but they seem to be connected to "Acoustic Hit Theory" Pretty sure it is a collection under that name. However when I search for it in the sounds library I can find no reference to it. Could someone help me to confirm this.
Thank You as always,
Ron

Re: Missing sounds
Hmm, Acoustica Greg will probably need to help you with this problem. But to save a project, I click on the little floppy disk icon on the top of Mixcraft because it keeps all the files together... So if you haven't been saving projects using the little floppy disk icon, in the future I recommend doing it that way.

Thanks jlouvar.
Do you happen to know if "Acoustic Hit Theory" is actually suppose to be part of the sounds Library? If so, What is included.

I'm not positive, but yeah I think it's part of the extra Mixcraft MVP package. See https://acoustica.com/mixcraft/extras/mvp-loops

Re: Missing sounds
BTW: Are you using Mixcraft 9.0 Pro, build 442? And if so, when you installed MX9 did you put checks in the boxes for the vintage stuff?
Mixcraft 9 has a couple of new options in the installer - an option to install old plugins like Classic Effects, Acoustica Effects, and the Impulse VSTi, and an option to associate old Mixcraft projects with Mixcraft 9, so you can double-click them in Windows and have them automatically open in Mixcraft 9.

Re: Missing sounds
I am, and pretty sure I did. My MVP folder seems light.

Re: Missing sounds
Maybe try a new MVP reinstall? https://acoustica.com/mixcraft/extras/mvp-loops
PS: If you have the old Classic and Acoustica Effects in MX9, you most likely checked the vintage boxes. I checked the boxes.

Hi,
Yes, the Acoustica MVP loops and samples are a separate download.

Re: Missing sounds
Thanks for the information. I did reinstall the MPV loops library/sounds. I still get the searching for sounds window when trying to load this project.

Re: Missing sounds
Hi,
Can you play the MVP loops in your library? And those missing loops in particular? Make sure that your Windows firewall isn't blocking the loops from downloading.

Re: Missing sounds
I am SO glad someone posted this. My merged clips were ALL GONE for my current project today, and I am very annoyed. It is a major setback. Also, when I booted up Mixcraft, my projects folder was changed to another folder, and it took me awhile to find my projects again!
Re: Missing sounds
Yes Greg, the sounds show now, and play after downloading them again..don't know where they went to begin with! However when I try to open that same project I have to wait what seems forever for the project to search for missing sounds. Finally I think it has settled on only one sound missing..I don' think it is part of MVP it is claps, but what claps..where were they originally from?

Hi,
What's the pathname and filename? That could provide a clue.

Re: Missing sounds
Well, when going back to look at your MVP screenshots from earlier, I see that you only have one or two samples showing up. This means you need to download the rest.
Open mixcraft, load a new project, then go to the Library and to the MVP Loops collection. Then "download all in view", since it appears that you have several samples missing.
Running the MVP Loops installer simply tells Mixcraft that there's a new library of samples available to download from the internet - it doesn't install the entire library to your computer, just like the Mixcraft 9 installer doesn't install the regular library to your computer. You still need to connect to the internet and download the samples you need.
It would be nice if Mixcraft could bulletproof cases like this (where the project uses a sample or loop from the library that hasn't been downloaded on the machine yet, Mixcraft could just download the sample if it's a sample from Acoustica-provided libraries), but for now the fix is to download those samples from the library, then open the project.
