Hello.
I'm trying (for the first time) to make a video with some music, but I found out a problem with the rotation of the still images. I have several jpg files that have a "portrait" format, so after adding them in the Mixcraft video track, I rotated them right-clicking on the images (because Mixcraft added them as a landscape orientation).
In the pre-video (in Mixcraft) they are ok, and I see them in the correct position.
But then, when I mix down the video file as MP4, I see that the portrait photos are rotated again in landscape position.
I'm using Mixcraft 8, 32bit, build 396.
Did I miss any other option that I should check?

Hi,
Please submit an Acoustica Support Request and attach an example image that does this.
Note: the file size of the attached image has to be less than 10 MB.

Re: Mixcraft8: problem with (video) still image rotation
Thanks Greg for your feedback!
I see now that most of the photos I put in the Mixcraft video track are about 9Mb to 12Mb.
Later tonight, I will resize them (smaller) and I will tell you if I get the same problem.
Speaking of the still image size: does it make sense to use big photos or I am just wasting space?
I mean: does Mixcraft resize/compress the still images according to the MP4 video parameters when I mix down?
Thanks again for your attention.

Re: Mixcraft8: problem with (video) still image rotation
Hello Greg, again!
I already tried: you're right, after resizing the photos as a (much) smaller file, they behave properly with the correct rotation even after mixing down the video file.
Please add this information (maximum file size) in the help/manual of Mixcraft.
Thanks!!!

Hi,
When I mentioned file size, I was talking about our support ticket system; it can only handle file attachments up to around 10 MB or so.
The images that were rotated likely had orientation info embedded in them from a phone or camera. When you resaved them, you changed that orientation info. It doesn't have anything to do with the file size.

Hi-
I see that this is "solved" but when I read the whole thread it really isn't. I am having this same issue noted above. How do I get the photo to remain at the rotation level I set it at? It reverts back to the original format when I mix down the video. Very frustrating! I am using Mixcraft 8.
Thanks!

Hi,
Did you try saving them again with the proper orientation before bringing them into Mixcraft?
