I have used this function quite a lot without problems. I can even use the ENTER key. Typing "-0.1" or "0.5" or whatever and pressing ENTER will make it stick. Typing and then placing the mouse outside the box also works fine.
I have Swedish keyboard layout by the way.

Hi,

I don't know what would be different about the UK keyboard in that respect. Can you post a screenshot of what it looks like before you hit enter?

Silly question but make sure you enter + or - and zero.number. Also the track needs to be set to transpose. :D

Screenshot Greg...I can point mouse anywhere and click - it reverts to 0.0; same as if I hit 'enter'
Works fine with the up or down arrows to move in semi-tomes, but not fractions thereof.

Tom, makes no difference starting with + or -

Hi,

Thank you, the screenshot provides the answer. Try it on an audio clip, not a MIDI clip. There's no way to fractionally transpose MIDI.

So for the original poster:
1. Right-click to the left of the track to convert it to an audio track.
2. Fractionally transpose the MIDI.

Ah yes - but OP was referring to Pianissimo; and therein lies the answer!
Convert Pianissimo track to audio

I'm an Old Fart - and I'm sticking to my story!!! :D

and the fact that Greg beat me to it, only proves it

Ack!
Ive been fiddling and....

Yep, it was working every time.
On an audio track.
Type in .3 enter. Works.
Type in 0.3 enter, works.
Type in -.3 or -0.3.... Works.

The frustrating thing is the feeling of deja-vu when the solution is revealed.
As the feeling of having been through this conversation and puzzle-solving before...

Stupid MIDI!
Stay in tune, Mark

I also can't get any micro pitch changes to register, only full half steps

Hi,

Bounce it to audio first. Right-click to the left of the track and select Mix to New Audio Track, then adjust the newly-created audio clip.
