MixCraft 10 by December 2022????

Post by squeakie »

Just curious to know if we’ll see MC-10 by December. PreSonus Studio One 6 just released, and I’m on the fence about buying the update, but am curious if we’ll be seeing MC-10 soon. I don’t want to drop the dough on S-One 6 before seeing what MC-10 is going to offer.

Thx!

I saw Greg post something somewhere that it's likely not being released until 2023 :(

Hi,

Yeah, we're still hard at work on Mixcraft 10. I was hoping it would be released, but there's just not enough time to finish it by the end of the year.

Thanks for the update. I’ll just update Studio One then, and will still update to MC10 when it’s released. I’ve been with MC and updating since version 6.

Thx

Does that mean v10 is going to be a major upgrade?

Hi,

I think a lot of times whether something is a major upgrade is in the eye of the beholder, but we think so!

If you have your heart set on feature X, and feature X isn't in the new version, you might be disappointed, but someone else who has been asking for feature Y might be thrilled.

? Given that you're going from v9 to v10, it's a given that it's a major upgrade. Otherwise, it would be v9.1. :)

I can wait. Much prefer it be done right and wait vs rushing it out the door!

While you're at it, why not ask when everyone can expect the release of Mixcraft 11?

Yeah, I get that. You can't have everything. The reason I asked was that I watched some PreSonus One v6 videos and the functionality of that DAW was off the charts even down to some of the little touches that make it so slick. So, I was just wondering if you have any benchmarks that v10 will go up against because as much as I love Mixcraft there are so many features not present that you find in other products.

I would happily wait and pay for an all singing and all dancing Mixcraft v10.

So we are comparison shopping a DAW that starts at something like $300... (Or is it $400)
Is that fair?

I don't "get" that.
I would suggest finding and using what works best for your needs.

Historically pricing in the higher range might have allowed them to accel in some areas during the time they have developed/evolved.
If that product is what you need, it's a pretty good choice IMO.

Having used it, I can say that in my opinion it's aimed at a different market and not really a comparable purchase.
But that's just one opinion.

It's $99.95 for the Artist version which is a better comparison.

Fair enough, and I won't debate it is comparable.
They have a feature rich DAW line and it suits many users well.
