New song...

Post by M@rkus »

Hi all,

This is my new song. I started on this in 2019, but only finished the first third. It´s a mixture of hard rock, blues and jazz.

Guitar virtuosity in its purest form.

I have a lot of healthy envy of you.

Congratulations
Sorry for the translation, it may create some confusion.
I also apologize if it took me a while to respond, there is a time difference in the country where I live and it could coincide at night.

Hugh thanks for you kind comment, and I´m sorry for the late reply. But I´m by no means any guitar virituoso, rather the oppsosite I´m merely a hack. I cheat every way I can to get as close as I can to what I hear in my head, but rarely am able to perform myself. Thanks to digital recording, it´s rather easy to cheat and make it sound decent. Many times I wished that I had a professional band waiting inte wings, being ready to record the ideas I have, but seldom am able to record. Therefore I often have to record something else than what I hear in my head, but I suppose I can´t get everything.
Although, I´m very happy with the result on this song, and I actually think it´s the best song I´ve made (which ought to tell you something about my other songs...) and I´ve been trying to make songs for 45 years now...
Anyhow, here´s a link to a better mix, where I have corrected a number of timing mistakes and poor mixing. Thanks again.

And don't worry, we all cheat - it's so easy with digital.

This quote from Andrew Scheps - Multi Grammy Award winner and producer for the likes of Metallica, Adele and Michael Jackson:

The only thing that matters, is what comes out of the speakers. Nobody cares how you got there. :D
