Ver 2.xx and Ver 3.0 together-

Post by Gman »

Did I see somewhere that Ver 2.xx and Ver 3.0 can coexist together on the same drive of a computer? Are there any conficts in recorded files or do they completely separate their recording directories?

I have both versions installed.

No problems at all, they create separate file extentions also for m2 and m3 project file names.

Both programs use \My Documents\My Recordings\ for the default recording folder, so if you're concerned about the recordings from the two programs being in the same folder, keep an eye on that. It really doesn't matter, except in a housekeeping sort of way. Either program can use the wave files from the other program.

Remember that Mx3 has the option to have a different recording folder for each project (see Project tab), so you can be really organized about it if you want.

I think I can see EL34 smiling from here. I think that was a wishlist item of his.

Thanks Greg.
