Build 285 just might be the release build.

Post by Acoustica Greg »

Hi all,

Give this one a good run-through. Here are the fixes since build 284:

* Fix for loading project with button controller showing tracks in wrong order on load.
* Fixed problem with moving text clips while video preview window was open
* If details tab is undocked and maximized, and we minimize and then restore Mixcraft, details tab now comes back maximized.
* Colors are now working better for Ohm button controller
* Fix for extra track getting added when dragging in audio files.

I just did an upgrade through the Help menu, and the installer did not detect that Mixcraft was running. It just choked and said that a file was open.

Not a biggie, but it used to be able to detect that Mixcraft was running and ask you to exit.

Anyone else see this?

Hi,

I'm not seeing it here. I tried it on a few different versions of Windows, including XP and 8. It won't ask you until it gets all the way to the end of the download, then it has a Retry button.

Yes, that's what I was expecting, but this time it downloaded, started, and got most of the way through before choking on an open file.

If it ain't reproducible it ain't a bug.

I haven't tried it on my second system yet.

Nice update Acoustica Team. I haven't had the chance to really get into it 100%, but what I've seen so far is terrific. I am really liking the ability to drag several wave files in at once. Any chance we can do this with midi files? Thanks!!

MIDI files are a different beast, because each MIDI file can have multiple tracks. The best thing to do with complex MIDI files is to use "Open Project" and open them just like a Mixcraft project. Multi-track MIDI files already open one track under another, even before this update.

Its voodoo man......
I never see the prompt because I close Mixcraft immediately out of habit.
But i am going to blame this post for my computer crash during update download. Upon restart the computer showed the download was done but then froze waiting for the installer to run. Arrgggg!
Next try, all good, worked perfect. Hair gone, but "perfect." 8)

OK, maybe not perfect.

Can somebody see if this is just my system or a Mixcraft bug?

Attempting to use samples from the library.
Bunches of them wont work. Wont play, wont load in the timeline.
Click on the play button, it turns red, stays red.
Samples show as downloaded, and it occurs with samples I have used before.
Closed Mixcraft and reloaded. No change. Happens every time for me, not intermittent.
Have not yet done a Mixcraft reinstall.

Duplicatable?
