Everything has been fine with the 3-4 recording sessions I had under my belt using Win. 7. I was looking forward to recording some LP's last night & suddenly out of the blue experienced drop outs & skips during record. The records play fine through the speakers until I hit record. It's not the needle (I tried 3 diff. cartridges), & I don't think I messed with any settings (but who knows?)
I think this has been a past topic & it's something to do with "buffers"? This sound right? I hope that's all it is & is a simple fix so I can get back after it .........
Thanks in advance,
Audio skips & drop outs?

Hi,
Yes, go into your Audio settings and try doubling the number of buffers and also the buffer size setting.

Re: Audio skips & drop outs?
Thanks once again for a fast reply! That seems to have taken care of the problem, but it did take a bit of trial & error to find the right buffer combination. Back in biz for now....I'm sure I'll have more questions down the road
Thanks
