Hey I was wondering how different people controlled the wah effect if you are using a VST Wah like Coyote Wah or others like that.
I am trying to use an effect like that in a way that lets me control the wah in real time. Hopefully without having to spring for an expensive expression pedal!
Thanks, but unfortunately I can't control the slider in real time when I am playing guitar.I am hoping for an inexpensive real time solution, but if I can't find one, I could certainly use the slider method and add the effect afterwards on my recordings.
Thanks Gypsy,
The Sweetwater one looks great, and in my price range! I couldn't remember the names of the wah VST's I have, Coyote was the only one that came to mind when I was away from my computer, I was hoping no one would notice
Thanks!
I did kind of an auto-wah using Blue Cat Audio Phaser (free VST Plugin) on my Tears in Heaven rendition (at the solo part). See if this would work for you.
I'm resurrecting this thread because I can't figure out how to use Coyote Wah. . By itself it doesn't create the wah wah effect. Using the slider it does, but that can't be done while playing. From this thread I have two questions :
1. If I got an expression pedal would that control the slider in coyote? How does that work?
2. Failing that, is there a way to add the effect using the sliders AFTER the guitar is recorded? I can't figure out how that's done.
I have an auto waw from the old effectizer plugin. . But it has a nag screen and I need to donate 15 euros (about $17 today) to get rid of it. . Doesn't seem worth it.

Thanks Greg - looks like tha's what I was missing. I'll try it out over the weekend and let you know.

Finally got around to trying this - works perfect. Thanks again.
