I was wondering is there a way to save files made in beatcraft as just a midi file .. While wav ogg and mp3 are nice to have a midi drum track might be easier to change timing wise

I'm just wondering...
what if we were to take a beatcraft project, render out each piece of the kit separately to individual tracks, then use an audio to midi converter vst for each track once it's in Mixcraft.
yes,I know Melodyne or Cubase can do this but they're still pretty expensive.

Hi,
You could slice the beats and use them in Omni Sampler That's a whole new option for Beatcraft.
Slice transients would probably be the way to go.

that seems like it would get to be pretty time consuming.
I'll jsut stick w/ the e-kit as triggers & Mixcraft drums for now and work on playing better.
it would be nice if the Beatcraft samples could be incorporated as Midi compatible.

Beatcraft is really being phased out. I think the last release of Mixcraft effectively did the trick.
I was a loyal Beatcraft user and finally made the move to using Mixcraft for drums. Messing with OmniSampler now and really like what I'm getting. Check out some of my posts over on that forum. It's a learning curve but for me a worthwhile one.
