I'm using v7 expired demo and layed down 8 guitar tracks as a test project.
However, when I reopened the project, the first track was now empty with the third track partly missing.
You can see little spikes in the corrupt tracks.
Why would that be?

Re: Missing track(s)
Hi,
You should update to build 279 so you can have all the bug fixes.
When you say that the first track is empty, do you mean that the audio clip is blank? If you play it and turn up the volume, can you hear anything at all?
Did you move around folders or audio files? When you first opened the project, did Mixcraft have to search for missing sounds?
Since the audio files are stored separately from the project file, if a file's name and/or location changes, it's possible for Mixcraft to load the wrong file if it has the same name. In the case of track 1, it may have found a different 01 Audio Track.wav file.

Re: Missing track(s)
I concur with Greg's finding here. We recently had a "clapping" incident with one of the editors in our outfit where the original clip, with the same name, had been "found" inside her instance, and was inserting THAT sound over and over again inside an area that extended in to several minutes at a time that was just the same clap, clap, clap over and over again. Good call, Greg.

Re: Missing track(s)
That feature came very close to showing up in Mixcraft 7, we'll have to remind the devs to put it in Mixcraft 8. Did you mention it in the suggestion thread?aj113 wrote:....which is why MC should assign unique file names.

Thanks!

No folders were moved or warnings received.
I'll d/l the latest version and test again.
