hey, I have been using mixcraft 8 home studio for a while and I wanted to ask you something, when im recording with the messiah plug in and change some of the plug in settings while recording it changes the whole track settings instead of the specific part of the recording.
how can I change the settings without effecting the whole track?

I am not overly familiar with the Messiah VSTi, but generally controls like this would utilize automation, which in the Mixcraft Home Studio version are unfortunately limited to track panning and volume.
I believe you would need to upgrade to get the functions you seek.

Hi,
You need to use track automation. Check out the videos on automation, particularly the last one on this page: Mixcraft Video Tutorials -- 8. Using Automation.

Good question. None of the info nor the comparison page say anything about editing features.
Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio, Alien laptop, Windows 10 64 bit, Mackie Onyx12 mixer/interface.

Hi,
Page 7 of the help manual shows the limitations of the Home Studio edition. Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio and Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio have the same basic features, but Pro Studio has Melodyne integration and a bunch of additional virtual instruments and effects.
So, yes - Mixcraft 8 Recording Studio would give you the option to automate plugin parameters.

You can have separate tracks with the same instrument but with different settings on each track. Just cut and paste the section you want to have different setting and put it on a second track. Maybe I just misunderstood your question though.
