I've been using Mixcraft since version 5 and consider it THE best DAW software by far for my needs. I'm a solo guitarist/singer who records my own backing tracks and midi instrumentation. I spend literally hours per day working with Mixcraft on a 32" monitor, therefore eye strain is always a bit of an issue. However, I just upgraded to MC Pro Studio 9 build 452 and am finding the current (3) skin options almost unbearable to work with. I've adjusted monitor settings, display settings, graphics settings, track color settings, yet cannot find a "comfort level" that works for me. Everything is either too bright, too dark, or seemingly a bit distorted with contrast issues. Even the VU ranges seem, for lack of a better term, vague as to what they're actually reading. Never had this issue with previous versions and wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
I get that Mixcraft is a digital AUDIO workstation and not necessarily designed to be "pleasing to the eyes" but each time I gladly upgrade to the next version, I find it a little harsher/harder to work with visually. Many loyal years with Mixcraft but seriously looking for other options at this point.

Re: Pro Studio 9 Skins
A few other Mixcraft users have also complained and Acoustica tried to please everyone, but that seems impossible because what one user likes another user hates. Personally I like the MX9 Pro default skin.

Hi,
You can try out custom visual themes. Here's one that Acoustica Chris posted: https://forums.acoustica.com/viewtopic. ... 78#p129078.
The problem with these is that you may have to reapply them after an update.
