Gap between split samples

Hi. I did a search, but couldn't find anything specific to my problem.

1. Import a wav file
2. Split the wav file, to repeat a section, or whatever.
3. Sounds great
4. Render file to any format
5. Audible gaps between the segments >:(

I've tried everything I can think of and most of the fixes for wav rendering issues I've spotted here, but nothing is working.

Hi
Did you try merging (CTRL W) all the split clips?

I did, yes. It merges the gap into the file. I am so desperate that I even tried to re-edit the merged file to take out the gap, but I just get another gap lol

Make sure that snap to grid is off and zoom in to your clips and move them as close together as you can see with a slight overlap. Then play it back and listen for the gap. If it’s ok merge the clips. :D

Yeah, overlapping clips causes them to automatically fade into one another, and that can smooth out the sound.

If there's a little click at the start or end of a clip, you might need to add a tiny fade.
