I recently bought Bogren Digital's AmpKnob - RevC but I'm having trouble using it with Mixcraft. I installed it and the standalone version worked and the vst worked in Ableton Live but it didn't appear in Mixcraft's plug-in list. I contacted Bogren and they provided me with a new installer to try so I uninstalled and tried the new one, same result. Jacek from Bogren tried downloading the demo of Mixcraft 9 and he says it's recognizing the plug-in. Is there something I'm doing wrong here? I've never had a problem getting vsts to work in Mixcraft before. I'm using Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio on Windows 10, any ideas on how I can get Mixcraft to detect AmpKnob? I tried manually adding the folder the vst is in to Mixcraft's plug-in scan list, still nothing.

Are you using 64-bit Mixcraft? Make sure you are if the plugin is 64-bit.

When you installed it, which folder did you install it to? If you go into Mixcraft's Plug-Ins preferences, click Edit VST/VSTi Folder, then add that folder. Click OK, and then quit Mixcraft and start it up again to see if the plugin loads.

I'm using Mixcraft 9 Pro Studio 64 Bit Build 469. I installed it to the same VST folder where all my VSTs are installed, I went to the plug-in preferences and manually added the exact folder the VST is in, rescanned the plug-ins, quit Mixcraft and restarted and it's still not there. And I know the VST is installed correctly and working because it works in other DAWs.

Click on Mixcraft's File menu, select Manage Plug-Ins and see if it's been disabled, or listed as Unable to Load. If it doesn't have a checkmark next to it, add a check mark, then click OK and restart Mixcraft.

It's not listed in any of those places, that's the problem. So there are no checkboxes to tick because the VST isn't showing in the list. It doesn't appear in the Unable To Load or the Disabled lists either.

It turned out that the VST3 file was in the wrong folder. All VST3 plugins should go into one of these folders:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST3
