Mixing down to Wav - Audio Interface issue?

I know this has been addressed numerous times but I'm still a bit confused. My audio interface does not keep the proper tempo when it first starts up. I find if I restart windows it then seems to properly interpret the tempo. So when I mix down to wav without doing the restart and play the file back through the on board computer sound card it is slow and out of tempo. It appears this is a problem with my audio interface and its ASIO driver. I thought I had read somewhere that mixcraft doesn't use any audio interface capabilities when doing mixdown?

Hi,

Did you try the "same sample rate" tip in this pinned post? https://forums.acoustica.com/viewtopic.php?t=24566

Basically, use the same sample rate for the wav file that you're using in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences. Why? Because some plugins don't behave properly when the sample rate changes on mixdown.

It's not a sample rate issue. My audio interface asio driver doesn't sync up right away with windows. What I was wondering is what does Mixcraft use on Mixdown to create the file? Does it use the audio interface set up in preferences?

Hi,

Try turning off the option called "Use Device's Preferred Settings" in Mixcraft's Sound Device preferences.
