I have done it wirelessly-I mounted my Iphone on a mic stand, then I use the www.MOBLEAIRMOUSE.com application to control Mixcraft or anything else on my PC using my IPHONE as mouse.

It would be a nice suggestion in the next MX patch to include the hot key VCR controls. That could be done as a very simple SW update-a cave man could do it...

The IPHONE mouse works very well, but you have to able to see the screen without the hotkeys being available.

yeah, it's easy to control mixcraft with Keyboards, mice and wireless mice type devices like your phone.

The thing we are shooting for here is foot controls.
Maybe we could lay a phone on the floor and step on it. :D

I had been thinking about doing this for a long time but never put all the pieces together until now.

Anywho, I am sure others will come up with some cool additions, modifications, and some great macro's to do all sorts of things.

Dan and Joe at Acoustica may even throw us a bone and give us some new keyboard commands.

A special Flag that marks a recording start point would be cool.
Rewinding back and stopping at just that special flag would be the ticket.

As I said in my post above, my script will only rewind back to the next flag to the left.
If you pass over any flags during recording, Mixcraft will not rewind back to your original starting point flag.

Whether its done by foot or hand, doesn't really matter much-you are usually too far from your display to be moving a mouse around.

The real problem to me is a lack of recording shortcut keys to map to some remote buttons-whether the buttons are on a foot pedal or an IPHONE APP or something else.

You can already get a pretty low cost USB foot switch without needing a soldering iron.

That same foot controller is listed several places on the web

I saw a site that sold that same one for $30 , not $45
It ships from China.

Looks like a great solution to those that don't want to roll their own.

My favorite line is "feels even better without wearing shoes."
